inch garlic

green chilli

bay leaf

3
cloves

star anise

marathi moggu

1cinnamon

Coriander powder

curd

lemon juice

How
to make fish fry
Ø Wash, clean and prep the fish.
Ø Mix all the ingredients i.e chilli powder,
pepper powder, gram flour, raw rice
flour, lemon juice, oil, salt, taste the marinade and adjust salt if needed
Ø Marinate the fish with this marinade.
Set aside for 10-15 minutes
Ø Heat oil in the frying pan. Add and
shallow fry the fish on both the sides. Flipping the fish and till fry the fish
gets cooked well. Also masala gets
roasted well. It’s also takes 9-10 minutes. It’s depending on the fish pieces
thickness and fish witch type of fish used
Ø Set this aside along with any oil or stock left in the pan.
How
to make fish Biryani
Ø Pour two cups of water and soak the
rice for 30 minutes. Drain the water after 30 minutes.
Ø Pour a little water and grind fine
paste all these ginger, garlic, green chilli
Ø Take the heavy bottom pressure
cooker. Pour the fish fry oil(200ml) and heat. Adding this will enhance fish
taste and aroma in the briyani
Ø While hot the oil add the bay leaf,
cloves, star anise, Marathi moggu, cinnamon.
Ø Add ginger,
garlic, green chilli paste and cook for a minutes to get rid of raw smell.

Ø Add mint leaves, coriander leaves and
sauté for a minutes
Ø Add sliced tomato then add a little salt to make the tomatoes sauté. Cook for a minutes
Ø When the tomato was well cooked add
chilli powder, coriander powder. Cook this masala until oil starts leaving the
sides for 2 minutes
Ø Add beated curd in a cooker. Mix all
the ingredients well and cook for a minutes
Ø Add lemon juice. Mix well and sauté
for a minutes
Ø Add 2 cup of water and add soaked
seeraga samba rice into it. Mix everything well.
Ø Now at this step add salt as per requirement. Mix up everything well.
Ø Cover the lid of the pressure cooker and boil the rice for exactly 5 minutes till it is almost done. The rice will not be completely cooked.
Ø Now take half the rice from the
cooker and place it on a plate.
Ø Add the fried fish in the cooker. Put
taken rice on fried fish in the cooker and spread it.
Ø Cover the lid of the pressure cooker.
Cook this briyani 4-5 minutes on low flame
Ø After
5 minutes remove the cooker from flame. Reduce the steam completely.
Carefully remove the lid of the pressure cooker
Ø Check the biryani and allow it to
cool down
Ø Serve the delicious tasty chicken
briyani, enjoy it with raita
Note:
v You better to use the boneless fish rather than using normal fish. I’m
using emperor fish in this biryani.
v I like to use horse mackerel,
salmon, emperor, halibut or king fish.
